Cougar Crew Volunteers

IMG_8975.JPG

Volunteering is the foundation of what the Nimitz Band Boosters Association is all about. We support our students, and contribute to their success.

Volunteers are welcome to serve at every Nimitz Band and Guard event throughout the school year.

Where to start

All booster parents and volunteers must register for a background check with Aldine ISD before they can volunteer at events. This needs to be done annually in July, before the school year starts.

Volunteer Tasks

Meal Prep

Comes in before an event to set up and have meals prepared in order to distribute them to students, support staff and band staff.

Bus Chaperone

Accompanies students onto their assigned buses. Takes roll call before departure to and from the event to ensure everybody is on board.

Loading

Assists in getting band equipment on and off the equipment trucks during events and unloading when returning to Nimitz.

Moving Props

Assists moving halftime show equipment, instruments, and props onto, and off, the field during football games and contests.

Event Chaperone

Accompanies students to various locations and consistently monitors behavior during all events and competitions.

You know what to do, Cougar Crew!
