Emilio Reyna
Mr. Reyna is in his thirteenth year as a music educator and his eighth years serving as the Director of Bands at Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas. Previously, he served as the assistant director of bands at Aldine High School for five years. Mr. Reyna directs the Wind Ensemble and Concert Winds, the marching band, and assists with the Symphonic Winds. Additionally, he serves as the Fine Arts Department Chair and the UIL Academics Coordinator at Nimitz High School. During his time at Nimitz High School, the program has consistently been successful at UIL Marching and Concert evaluations.
Mr. Reyna holds a Bachelors of Music Education from Baylor University. He has a strong emphasis in Saxophone, and he also specializes in Woodwind Studies.
Mr. Reyna's political affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association.
Outside of Nimitz, he is the Associate Conductor of The Woodlands Concert Band, a community ensemble for The Woodlands, Texas. He also enjoys regularly visiting his family in his hometown, Mission, Texas. He currently resides in Spring, Texas.
Jontre Ve'an

Mr. Ve'an is in his seventh year as a music educator and his third year serving as the Associate Director of Bands at Nimitz High School. Previously, he served as the director of bands at Wells Middle School in Spring ISD and Marvin Baker Middle School in Corpus Christi ISD. Mr. Ve'an directs the Symphonic Winds and assists with the marching band and wind ensemble.
Mr. Ve'an holds a Bachelors of Music Education from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. He has a strong emphasis in Trombone and Euphonium, and he also specializes in Brass Studies.
Mr. Ve'an's political affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
Prior to teaching, Mr. Ve’an was an active member in the drum corps community. He marched four consecutive years of World Class Drum Corps with the Crossmen (2016-2018) and the Blue Devils (2019). He also taught with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps for two seasons (2020-2021). In the drum corps community, Mr. Ve’an was a section leader for two seasons with the Crossmen, the Jim Ott Scholarship recipient in 2018, and won the 2019 championship as a member of the Blue Devils.
Outside of Nimitz, he loves to spend time with his wife, Monique, his family, and his two dogs, Ace and Princess. He currently resides in Cypress, Texas.
